Japanese consumers are now able to buy a 3D printer from a high street store with the announcement that the 3D Systems Cube 3D printers are now available at Yamada Denki.
Yamada Denki is one of the largest consumer retailers in Japan with 2,729 outlets across the country.
“We are honored to have a leading retailer of Yamada Denki’s reputation bring our award-winning consumer 3D printers to Japan,” said Michele Marchesan, Vice President and General Manager 3D Printers, 3D Systems.
The Cube 3D printers are now stocked in their Ikebukuro flagship store and the Cube retails for $1,299, with the CubeX going for $2,499 USD.
The 3D Systems Cube printer is one of the most “polished” machines available and is plug-and-play right out of the box, it’s even certified safe for children to use.
As Japan is one of the biggest consumers of technology products in the world 3D Systems are working hard to sell their products in this market. Japanese online technology retailer Dynamism has recently launched their own 3D printing store and the Cube 3D printers are listed for sale amongst other manufacturers machines.
